TRIP east midlands brings together tourism researchers from the region to work towards improving the quality and availability of East Midlands tourism research.

The partnership came into existence in September 2005 after receiving funding from East Midlands Tourism and the Higher Education Funding Council for England.

• To function as a collaborative partnership involving tourism and research experts from all eight regional Universities, East Midlands Tourism, Intelligence East Midlands and other organisations.
• To undertake research across the East Midlands in consideration of the needs of the regional tourism stakeholders.
• To establish various forums through which research intelligence can be disseminated to all users across the region.
• To provide access to considerable regional, national and international tourism expertise for bespoke research needs.
