Northampton Business School

 

Travel and Tourism is located within the Marketing and Entrepreneurship Division of Northampton Business School (NBS), at The University of Northampton. NBS is committed to being a leading regional, national and international centre for research and knowledge transfer. Many staff in the School have significant business and professional experience as well as experience in Higher Education.

The Travel and Tourism Centre works closely with professional bodies such as Tourism Management Institute and The European Union of Tourist Officers. Current projects include: The development of a Continuing Professional Development framework for tourism managers in the UK ; and VOCMAT, a new pan-European tourism management qualification. Research in progress aims to deliver a framework to help visitor attractions succeed in today’s highly competitive market place.

Award winning Sunley Management Centre also forms part of NBS and enjoys a national reputation for training, consultancy and development it provides to executives and professionals. Training programmes are designed to meet the needs of both public and private sector clients and can be tailored to a specific industry or business.

The University of Northampton offers for undergraduate study opportunities in Tourism at both HND and BA levels.
