Christel DeHaan Tourism and Travel Research Institute (TTRI) is one of the foremost centres for tourism research and teaching in the UK . TTRI’s mission is to provide high quality research in order to contribute to policy formation by business, governments and international organisations. In addition, TTRI engages in a diverse programme of research-led teaching for students across the University of Nottingham , and beyond.

Partnerships with the Public and Private Sector
The Institute has established partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders in the tourism industry and governments through research, consultancy and collaborative initiatives. Successful projects include work for the World Travel and Tourism Council,, the World Bank, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, East Midlands Tourism, VisitScotland, the UK Film Council, the Malta Tourism Authority, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation, and the Brazilian Government.
Academic Excellence
TTRI has developed a comprehensive programme of research-led teaching at the Nottingham University Business School . Students develop a systematic understanding and critical awareness of the managerial and marketing issues that face the tourism industry both nationally and internationally.
